The Promise Box - Week 9, Saturday

God is your hope

The LORD made an agreement with Jacob and gave the teachings to Israel, which he commanded our ancestors to teach to their children. Then their children would know them, even their children not yet born. And they would tell their children. So they would all trust God and would not forget what he had done but would obey his commands.
Psalm 78:5-7, NCV.

The Promise Box - Week 9, Friday

God is your hope

Let those who respect you rejoice when they see me, because I put my hope in your word. I am weak from waiting for you to save me, but I hope in your word. Support me as you promised so I can live. Don't let me be embarrassed because of my hopes. I am waiting for you to save me, LORD. I will obey your commands. Psalm 119: 74, 81, 116, 166, NCV.

The Promise Box - Week 9, Sunday

God is your hope

Lord, you are my hope. Lord, I have trusted you since I was young. But I will always have hope and will praise you more and more. Happy are those who are helped by the God of Jacob. Their hope is in the LORD their God. Psalm 71:5, 14; Psalm 146:5, NCV.

People are constantly looking for that one thing or one person upon which or whom we can hang our hopes. Current experiences have taught us that we truly cannot put our hope or confidence in either people or things. Many have lost their life savings and those things that they were banking on for a secure future. All because they placed their hopes and confidence in people and institutions. As a child of God, your "hope is built on nothing less than Jesus' blood and righteousness." This hope will never fail or disappoint because God is your hope, and he cannot fail.

The Promise Box - Week 9, Thursday

God is your hope

So, Lord, what hope do I have? You are my hope. But I will tell you this: I worship the God of our ancestors as a follower of the Way of Jesus…others say that the Way of Jesus is not the right way. But I believe everything that is taught in the Law of Moses and that is written in the books of the Prophets. I have the same hope in God that they have - the hope that all people, good and bad, will surely be raised from the dead. Psalm 39:7; Acts 24:14, 15

All you who put your hope in the LORD be strong and brave. But the LORD looks after those who fear him, those who put their hope in his love. LORD, show your love to us as we put our hope in you. Psalm 31:24; Psalm 33:18, 22, NCV.

The Promise Box - Week 9, Monday

God is your hope

Why am I so sad? Why am I so upset? I should put my hope in God and keep praising him, my Savior and my God. It is sad not to get what you hoped for. But wishes that come true are like eating fruit from the tree of life. Psalm 43:5; Proverbs 13:12, NCV.
